My family is crazy and I love them

Us Best's are a little wacked in the head.
But I wouldn't change it for the world.
Thankful they are MY people.
Christiana made me a valentine.
Love how she spelled my name.
This babe has my whole heart.
I love that he is a snuggler.

And this sister of my bugs me but I love her.
Not sure why.
But she's my person.

A day of LOVE

 Valentines Day is overrated.
Especially for the single gals like me.
A few of us decided to cook breakfast at my place and then head up to Donut Falls.
It was a fun way to start the weekend.

Later that evening I went to celebrate CJ with Keri and the Rhineer family.
We lit up the sky for him.
It was beautiful.
My friend, Keri is so brave and has had to rebuild her life.
I'm so proud of her and love her to pieces.
Life is hard.
Throws you curve balls that you never expect.

Grateful for people in my life that we just get each other.
Thinking of how much Keri's life changed in a few seconds makes my heart ache.
You never truly know the battles people are fighting.
Be a little kinder.  A little more patient. And love a little bit harder.

Bowling for Zach

1,825 days.
Time is a strange thing.
Sometimes it feels like just yesterday I could feel his belly laugh shake the room and other it feels like it's been a lifetime since we were driving in the car singing our favorite songs together.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't miss him and the love that we shared.

Our second month dating, we went on a double date with his cousin and boyfriend.
It was a night I learned of his love for bowling.
Nobody loved bowling like the Syphus family.
So tonight we bowl for Zach and celebrate the life of a man we love and miss dearly.
This ones for you, Z.
Loving you always.

Another year, has come and gone.
My heart is always very heavy on January 30th.
I can remember every detail and makes me mourn the life we would have had together.
Every year we get to together with his family.

This year we chose to do something that he would have LOVED to do.
Bowling was it.
He loved bowling. Loved being with family and friends.

I'm beyond thankful for his family and my close friends that reached out this day.
It means more to me than people know.

NYE 2014

Nothing like ending the year with a bang.
I had to work part of the day on New Years Eve.

My family always has dinner and plays games at my parents house.
So I went and hung out for a while before heading down to SLC to go out later with friends.

We have really mastered the family selfie!
We are a good time.

We wanted to go out and just dance.
We ended up at Club 90 with all the old people and danced our hearts out.
It doesn't matter where you go... it's who you are with.

Thank you 2014.
You've been good to me.

A night with my boys

It's no secret that I love my boys and hitting the town with them.
We love when Matt is in town and we take full advantage of any time we have with him.
Sometimes you redo a picture from a year prior.
I think we nailed it.

It is never a dull moment with these gents.
Especially this one.
Shane was my date all night.

We look a little rough at this point.
We had been dancing for a while and were hot messes.
I sure love these boys and love that they always let me join them.

Just Dance

Some weekends we are like Lady Gaga and just dance.
We danced hard this night.
Grateful for friends that like to go out on the dance floor with me.

Addict

Sometimes you just find your spot.
You love it.
They love you.
The food speaks to you.
And you just can't stop going back.

That is Bombay House for us.
They know us.
We love them.

Christmas traditions

The month of December brings a lot of traditions.

Festival of Trees is a great way to start the Christmas season.
Such a beautiful event for a great cause.
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is decorating sugar cookies.
My Grandma Best did this every year and my dad continued the tradition with us.
Natalie was great to make all the cookies and make it happen this year.

Another thing that was passed down in our family is when we concentrate, we stick out tongue out.
Poor little Princess was really concentrating when frosting her cookie.
And I'm a mean Auntie and had to document that.
Thanks to this terrible habit, I had to get braces for a 2nd time.

Now if this isn't pure love.

For the last seven years, I have taken the Collier cuties and had a sleepover with them.
We had a great time together.
Apparently, we partied too hard for Porter.
This was him after being in the car for about 5 minutes.
Haddie is a good sister and let him lay on her the whole ride back to Layton.

On Christmas Eve, we got to my parents.
Played games.
and waited for Natalie to get off work.
My dad had a good idea to put chairs in the truck and go down to Layton park and see the lights.
It was cold.
But a fun new thing to do.

I love this group of people so much.
The night wouldn't be complete without playing chimes.
I love that my dad played with us, even if he was always 3 counts behind.
Christmas morning, we waited for the other kiddos to come over and had breakfast and then opened presents.
I cannot believe how big these cuties are getting.

The day was filled with all of my favorite people.
Grateful for the birth of my Savior.

My little singing Elf

I'm not sure when this little lady became such a lady minus the little part.
I was able to go watch her Christmas program.
Cutest elf around.
Even cuter watching her class sing a bunch of Chinese songs.

Go Jazz, Go!

Talia and I have been besties since the 90s.
I'm not joking.
Love being able to chat the night away with her while watching the Jazz play.

Even better when I get a text from my babies saying they are at the Jazz game too.
Porter thought he was pretty big and told Natalie that he was just going to come sit with me.
