My crazies!

We are crazy.
We are weird.
We are loud.
and I love it.

I love these crazies so much.
My parents have made a home of love and laughter.

This particular day, Haddie and Christiana wanted to make a pyramid.
So what did we do... we built a pyramid.
I hope we will always continue to be close and love to spend time together.

Mom for a week

I'm not here to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty much the best sister ever.
I mean, I took my sisters kiddos for a week and played mom and handled my life.
Not an easy task.
But we had a good time.
Rollin' 3 rows deep heading to SLC
I pretty much am obsessed with my boys.
Porter was pretty excited to find out we had twinner shoes.
Who doesn't like to be twinners with the cutest four year old.
Bowling was a favorite pass time for us.
And so was being a human jungle gym.

Being on hair duty for this little lady was not the easiest!
We did it.
Only a few tears every morning.
And mom pretty much approved of the styles.

Darn that baby.
Changing his bum and he decided to give me a pee shower.
But snuggling with that babe and letting him chatter with me until he was ready for bed was pretty much my favorite time of the day.

This was our final night the five of us.
Porter crashed at 6:00pm.
Missed ice cream.
Missed dinner.
Missed the fun.

This dude was killing me with blow outs.
it was his 3rd bath... in one day.

Hats off to all single mamas!
Or working mamas.
Or mamas in general.

My family is crazy and I love them

Us Best's are a little wacked in the head.
But I wouldn't change it for the world.
Thankful they are MY people.
Christiana made me a valentine.
Love how she spelled my name.
This babe has my whole heart.
I love that he is a snuggler.

And this sister of my bugs me but I love her.
Not sure why.
But she's my person.

Weekend full of Soccer

A weekend of soccer tournaments.
My crazy family.
and escape from reality.
Yes, please!

Part of the fam, headed down to Mesquite to cheer on Gabe and the Force Soccer team.

I love these boys so much!
It wasn't quite warm enough to swim, but we played in the hot tub and had a great time.

The night games were FREEZING!
We all didn't pack very warm clothes because the weather reports said is was going to be warm.
We bundled up pretty good for those games.

Porter thinks he is getting to big to sit with me most times.
This little baby zonked out on me.
I couldn't help but just lay there and savor this moment.

My Grams was a HUGE gambler.
She loved to play slots and was ALWAYS so lucky.
In honor of her, we all went out late one night and spent the evening gambling.
Mom handed out $20 just like Grams did.
Matt and I stayed at the Black Jack tables.
Let's just say, I was much more skilled than he was and just kept handing him chips so he could keep playing.
Mom ended up a winner and I did as well.... the Colliers should have just kept their $20 and left.
I know Grams was there cheering us on.

A weekend well spent with some of my favorite people in the whole entire world.

Happy Birthday Porter

Porter is such a fun loving, coke stealing, says things that make you crack up kinda boy.
He makes my heart happy and my cheeks hurt.

He has always been my little buddy.
He turned 4.  I can't believe it.
We went bowling and YoGoToGo to end the night.

Happy Birthday, Porter!

Christmas traditions

The month of December brings a lot of traditions.

Festival of Trees is a great way to start the Christmas season.
Such a beautiful event for a great cause.
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is decorating sugar cookies.
My Grandma Best did this every year and my dad continued the tradition with us.
Natalie was great to make all the cookies and make it happen this year.

Another thing that was passed down in our family is when we concentrate, we stick out tongue out.
Poor little Princess was really concentrating when frosting her cookie.
And I'm a mean Auntie and had to document that.
Thanks to this terrible habit, I had to get braces for a 2nd time.

Now if this isn't pure love.

For the last seven years, I have taken the Collier cuties and had a sleepover with them.
We had a great time together.
Apparently, we partied too hard for Porter.
This was him after being in the car for about 5 minutes.
Haddie is a good sister and let him lay on her the whole ride back to Layton.

On Christmas Eve, we got to my parents.
Played games.
and waited for Natalie to get off work.
My dad had a good idea to put chairs in the truck and go down to Layton park and see the lights.
It was cold.
But a fun new thing to do.

I love this group of people so much.
The night wouldn't be complete without playing chimes.
I love that my dad played with us, even if he was always 3 counts behind.
Christmas morning, we waited for the other kiddos to come over and had breakfast and then opened presents.
I cannot believe how big these cuties are getting.

The day was filled with all of my favorite people.
Grateful for the birth of my Savior.
