A weekend with two pups

My sweet friend, Keri, went to Vegas with her family.
So Tiny came and stayed with me and Ollie.
It was a fun weekend filled with two fun pups.
They are both so full of personality.
Ollie is pretty calm and just wants to be in the same room as people.
Tiny has spunk and sass.
And she wants to be on top of Ollie.
He just wanted to play with all of her toys.

Both pups insisted on riding on my lap.
After the first couple of minutes they both found their spot.
So happens Tiny was so tired after playing at my parents house with the kids that she needed to rest her head on the steering wheel.
Too cute.
Me and the pups on the way to get a coke.
We already miss Tiny at our house.
They are besties for life.
They are already counting down the days until they are together.
They look forward to the "Wednesday on the Reg" too!

My Main Squeeze

I love pups.
Especially when they belong to me.
I had Gracie for 6 years and loved her dearly.
This last summer, I had to put her down.
I am still so sad about it.
And don't really talk much about it still.
She was MY first dog.
She was so sweet and just loved to be by people, especially me and my dad.

I thought it would be a really long time before I got a dog.
Turns out this little man stole my heart.

Meet Oliver.
He is four months and just wants to be with me.
He loves anything squeaky and to snuggle.
He was a spur of the month decision and I haven't regretted it once.
Daphnee, my roommate said it perfectly.
"We are a dog house, we need a dog here."
Ollie has won the hearts of many in the few weeks he has been with me.

My sister, Jennifer, was nice enough to go and get Ollie last week when I was teaching.
I was sent this picture.
Being a pup is hard.

2013: Recap

The reason I started this blog was to keep up with some dear friends that moved across the country.
Now, it is for me.
I like to be able to look back at things that I have done or places of my life.
I have always done a recap of the year. (2010, 2011, 2012)
Last year, I did a video.
It's even more fun to watch and remember certain moments of the year.

Here is 2013's Recap, video style.

2013 has been a year of growth for me.
I'm proud to say I have learned a lot and ready to put the lessons into actions.

Here is to 2014.

My Pup

I have had Gracie Lu for almost 6 years now.
She is my pup.
I love her.
She is the constant in my life.
She is always happy to see me.
Never gets annoyed with me.
and always LOVES me.

I took her in to the vet, because I was pretty sure she had an eye infection.
Turned out it was not an infection and something much more serious.
It was a rough Friday afternoon for both of us that resulted in lots of testing for my sweet Grace and ended in surgery.
She is healing from her surgery and becoming more herself everyday.

The night before her surgery we were having some snuggle time.
Daph decided Gracie needed a "Good luck" message for her surgery.
The vet loved it and they were taking pictures with her all morning.
She is pretty much a celebrity in that office and they just love her.
She will go in for a check up this weekend and will get her stitches out.
It's amazing what you will do for your pet.

Poor Gracie

Desperate times.
Calls for desperate measures.
Which I am sure that Gracie is not too happy about.
Gracie was in need of a serious hair cut, but because of her upcoming surgery
I didn't have the heart to take her to the groomers.  She hates it there.
So....
She got her very own hair cut from me.
Things were going very well, until they weren't.
She has a few shave lines in her and I blame the chunk missing on the top of her head on her.
She got so antsy near the end.

You can tell right here that she completely hates her hair cut and me for that matter.

Good thing she loves me unconditionally.
