After an incredibly long night of loud noises from the alley and people in the Village partying it up all night,
we were ready to see Genova in the daylight.
We wandered the city.
In the rain.
In the sun.
In the humidity.
and everything in between.
And the real reason we found ourselves in Genova.... to eat lunch with Elder Miller and friends.
Elder Miller is Keri and Tera's brother.
It "happened" to be his P-day and we "happened" to run into the six elders.
We treated them to lunch and some gelato.
Talked about the Village we were staying and they were all a little concerned.
It was great time hearing about the Elders missions and the different cities they have served in.
Right after gelato we went and grabbed our bags and then headed to the train station to take an earlier flight. It was then we realized when we purchased our return ticket home, we purchased it for the WRONG date again. Apparently, we purchased our return ticket for the day prior. Another 30 euro down the drain.
This city did not endear itself to me.
We purchased yet again, another ticket and we were on our way to La Spezia.
This was a good moment of the day.
We realized our train seats reclined.
It was heavenly!
We arrived to La Spezia and immediately fell in love.
We were only there for a night before we explores Cinque Terre the next day.
We stayed in a house given by the King of Italy to this family.
It was such a great night.
We stayed in this night and was cooked dinner by our host.
She good amazing pasta for us.
He husband gave us a lot of tips for Cinque Terre and Florence.
It was fun being able to learn of their culture from people that have lived there their whole life.
It felt like we were in Italian heaven.
This is a night that I will truly treasure.
It made me reflect on everything that I have been able to see in the last 4 days and how fortunate I am to be able to travel.
